New Mural Fuels Momentum for Fairground Park

Fairground Park for All has unveiled its first public art installation as part of its mission to reimagine and revitalize the park for all of St. Louis.

With support from a grant and a formal selection process, St. Louis artist Fatou Kabir was chosen to lead the effort. Kabir gathered input of neighborhood families for the design, and dozens showed up to help with the installation

The hexagonal design is roughly [insert size here] and incorporates a diversity of interlocking arms, a peace sign, and native flowers— symbols of peace, hope, and community. It’s located on the [insert location] corner/intersection of the park and accessible to all.
